You never know who you'll see stepping onto the stage of Dr. Mehmet Oz's talk show. Recently, Galen Gering of "Days of Our Lives" visited the show to dish on how he maintains his fit and fabulous figure. Galen told Dr. Oz that he's a big believer in jumping rope for fitness, and he and Dr. Oz showed off their moves. Dr. Oz said that you can burn 150 calories in just 15 minutes by jumping rope. In addition, Galen drinks a lot of ice water. Dr. Oz said you can burn an extra 70 calories daily just by drinking your eight glasses a day of water with lots of ice. Galen's tip: Add lemon juice to your water to make it taste better.
Here's a hot secret for weight loss: Use hot sauce. Galen admitted that he uses it on so many foods that his wife complains, but Dr. Oz said it's good for you and boosts your metabolism. He recommends Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce (click for details).
