Daytime soaps are heating up: Shemar Moore is back!

Day time television just got a little sexier. Ladies get ready to set your DVR’s Shemar Moore is BACK! Moore who lit up the small screen on the daytime soap opera the Young and the Restless is coming back for a special two day cameo appearance. This is where Moore got his start and he won an Emmy for Best Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama series in 2000.

It has been over a decade since Moore stepped back into the role of Malcolm Winters. Fans never left the sexy soap star and Moore made the transition from soap opera actor to other television roles that showcased his diverse acting skills.

For three years from 2000-2003 Moore hosted the syndicated R&B soul dance program “Soul Train”. Moore stepped right into the role of movie star when he starred in the 2001 feature film “The Brothers” alongside Morris Chestnut, Bill Bellamy and D.L. Hughley.

Moore took on the supporting role in Tyler Perry’s successful movie “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”. This gave female fans another opportunity to swoon even more for the handsome actor as he displayed his romantic side bringing life to his character Orlando.

Moore has continued to give his fans especially female fans a reason to smile as a model who has graced the cover of Men’s Fitness magazine and other print ads. Moore has also continued to work on his range of characters with various television roles over the years from Living Single, Chicago Hope, and Moesha to present Criminal Minds.

Moore’s guest appearance back on the Young and the Restless will reunite him with longtime friend and fellow actor Kristoff St. John who plays his brother on the show. Moore’s role will bring him back to reunite with his family, make amends and catch up on everything he has missed.

According to CBS Moore is looking forward to his return on the show and said, “I am excited about returning to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as a special guest,” said Moore. “This is where I got my start and I am looking forward to reuniting with my soap opera family.”

Mark your calendars for Moore’s return to the Young and the Restless on Wednesday September 10 and Thursday September 11 on CBS.
