“Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer,” is one cartoon film that a lot of us grew up watching and it’s still aired on CBS to enthrall a new generation of people. It’s a classic story about a deer who is bullied for being different but in the end finds out it doesn’t matter who or what he looks like and that he is very much needed. It teaches a good lesson to children and even adults about being nice to those who are a little different than us.
But squeezed between that, is a classic Christmas story with a very catchy song. “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” was released on TV in 1964. The great Burl Ives had done the voice of Sam the Snowman in the show.
Larry Roemer had directed the TV movie. He’s also known for directing two other movies, “The Ballad of Smokey Bear,” and “Return to Oz.”
Anyway “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” is and always will probably be an enduring classic. It’s defiantly a staple for many families to still watch. So “Rudolph,” was today’s pick, a TV movie classic.
