Exactly two more days until Halloween is here. Hopefully you're enjoying the picks and getting a lot of classic horror before the holiday ends. If not don't fear, there are many hours left to get at least some in. Anyway, today's pick for 31 days of classic horror is, Ganja & Hess.
"Ganja & Hess," was directed by Bill Gunn and was released in 1973. The film starred Duane Jones (known for his lead role in "Night of the Living Dead"), the director Bill Gunn, Marlene Clark, and Mabel King.
The film had been screened at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival. Somewhat of an underrated vampire flick, it's about an archeologist who becomes a vampire after being stabbed by a cursed dagger. The film can be rented on Amazon for $3.99 and it's a 3 day rental. If you think you've seen all the vampire flicks out there but missed this one, take a look, it's a different one that is sort of a artsy take on the legend.
So "Ganja & Hess," is today's pick for 31 days of classic horror.
