After Day 2 of the Solheim Cup Team U.S.A. has a lot of ground to make up, losing momentum from the morning surge the European Team took a decisive lead in the afternoon with 10 ½ points to the U.S.A.’s 5 ½ points.
In the morning Foursomes Lewis and Creamer as well as Wie and Lang won a point for their team, and Lincicome and Salas were able to halve their match to give the U.S. 5 ½ points to Europe’s 6 ½. The afternoon Four-Ball was a European sweep, giving their team 10 ½ points.
Tomorrow will consist of 12 singles matches, which the U.S. will need a powerful showing in hopes to achieve 14 ½ points in order to win the Cup.
The 2013 Solheim Cup is being played at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colorado with the final round commencing tomorrow Sunday, August 18th.
