The film is about an Urban Legend and the woman who is obsessed with the legend. Virginia Madsen's character Helen is a graduate student who is researching about urban legends for her thesis and after learning about the Candyman, she digs digger into the legend which causes some horrific results. Tony Todd played the Candyman and his performance was one of the creepiest ever.
This highly successful horror flick is freaky and has plenty of gore. The Candyman, you say his name and he comes, by the way he has a hook hand! He's like "Bloody Mary," but he has a hook and bees! Yes, because of the legend that surrounds him, bees are a big part of his legend. For those who watched the movie know that sad story and those who haven't, watch the movie tonight. You won't be sorry if you watch it. You'll be terrified though. Madsen and Todd gave two great performances!
So today's pick for 31 days of classic horror is, "Candyman." The urban legend thriller that will creep you out and beware don't say his name.....
