Today's pick for day 14 of 31 days of 80s horror on Netflix is "House." House" was released in 1986 and was directed by, Steve Miner. The film starred, William Klatt, Kay Lenz, George Wendt, and Richard Moll.
This quirky horror film is about a horror novelist who moves in his late aunt's house. Weird things start happening in the house and the hope of finding his young son who disappeared haunts him.
Overall this film is pretty funny and of course since this is a horror film, there are enough frights too. One of those cult films that is mixed perfectly with humor and horror. As a Cheers fan, loved George Wendt in the movie too.
Definitely a movie to see for those who haven't seen it ever. The sequel not so much but this original hilarious but yet a tragically freaky film is the perfect amount of laughs and screams. It's not a house to live in for that's for sure! Monsters, dead friends, warnings from a decreased aunt, and so on are in this low budget classic. If you like dark humor and scares then "House," is your kind of movie.
So today's pick for 31 days of 80s horror on Netflix is the 80s horror classic, "House."
