Oh, Christmas isn't just a day. It's a frame of mind.

Today's pick for 25 days of classic Christmas movies is "Miracle on 34th Street." This 1947 classic movie starred Maureen O'Hara, Porter Hall, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn, and a very young Natalie Wood. The story takes place between two holidays Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Interestingly enough this Christmas movie was so popular that it won some Oscars notably for Best Supporting Actor which was given to Edmund Gwenn. It's also popular with the critics, on Rotten Tomatoes it has a smashing 96%!

This classic asks us, is Santa real? With a sweet sentimental plot and a great cast, there is a reason why this movie is enduring the times.

You can find this classic on a lot of local and cable channels during the holiday season (especially Thanksgiving). TCM fans can see this on the 15th and the 23rd.

So of course "Miracle on 34th Street," has to be on this list, it's the ultimate holiday movie!
