Today is Oct. 1 and that means that this whole month will be dedicated to 31 days of classic horror. We're celebrating Halloween horror each day. If you keep up with the articles then you'll have seen 31 horror movies that span from the 1910s to the 1980s.
Okay let's start with the first movie pick, "Warning Shadows" (1923). This is a German Expressionist film that was directed by Arthur Robison. Hailed as a psychological horror film, it's about a shadow player who shows the baron and his guests the future of what will happen if jealousy gets in their way.
For those who are Amazon Prime members can watch this movie and for those who don't mind spending some change can get it for $1.99 and it's a 7 day rental. Kino a company that has helped save and put a lot of silent films back to their glory, is selling a copy of the film.
Keep in mind this film was made purely for visual, the film has no intertitles besides of course the opening credits. It's a visual feature film in other words. But like the old saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words.
So that was today's pick for 31 days of classic horror!
