The new Voyage of the Dawn Treader trailer has been viewed over one million times – and that's just the count from the official YouTube channels, “OfficialNarnia” and ”waldenfans.”

The "teaser" trailer went online early Thursday morning at various sites across the Internet. The movie is scheduled to open December 10, 2010 in North America.

Other Dawn Treader news:

  • Shortly after the trailer was released, it was reported by NarniaWeb.com and NarniaNews.com that Simon Pegg (Scotty in the latest Star Trek movie) is supplying the voice of Reepicheep for the movie, replacing Eddie Izzard, who voiced the character in Prince Caspian. Previous reports had indicated that Bill Nighy had landed the job, and, as of this writing,  the Internet Movie Database lists Nighy as the voice for the mouse.
  • The official Narnia.com website has added some new features, including the teaser trailer on the landing page and an interactive map.
  • The Dove Foundation, know for "sealing" movies that are family friendly, has now added a new gold seal to indicate movies with a Christian message. The Chicago Tribune is reporting the The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has already been chosen to receive the gold seal.
