Davina and The Vagabonds, currently on a year-long international tour, will make a stop in Des Moines on Saturday, March 9. The show will be held at 9 p.m. at the Gas Lamp. The doors will open at 8 p.m. for the show, and tickets are $15 at the door. Tickets may also be purchased online through MidwesTix. There will be no opening band for this 21-and-over show.

Davina and the Vagabonds are based out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area, but they are hardly a local or regional act. The band plays 300 or more shows per year, touring all over the United States and throughout Europe. Lead singer/pianist Davina Sowers has shared the stage with the likes of Little Feat, Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa, The Lamont Cranston Band, and The Blues Brothers, and she was the 2009 International Songwriting Competition champion. The band's combination of jazz, blues, and roots music has earned them fans all over the world. Check out the band in action below.
