David Lynch to release remix EP for Record Store Day

Record Store Day always has a few gems of limited released vinyl to celebrate the day. Rolling Stone reports that movie director and musician, David Lynch will be releasing a remix EP. The likes of Moby, Bastille, Hot Since 82, and Peter Björn and John's Björn Yttling will be featured on four new versions of songs from The Big Dream, Lynch’s 2013 LP.

Moby covers ‘The Big Dream’ and features Mindy Jones whispering hushed vocals. ‘Wishing Well’ is remixed by Hot Since 82, ‘Are you Sure’ by Bastille, and ‘We Rolled Together’ by Yttling. The tracks will be pressed on clear, red vinyl and limited to only 500 copies.

"I love the blues. And I love rhythm and blues, and Elvis Presley taking off from those two things," David Lynch told Rolling Stone. "And I like rockabilly, and I like the Beatles—my favorite Beatles song is 'Across the Universe.' I like Jimi Hendrix and I like Bob Dylan. ZZ Top is one of my all-time favorite bands. When I first heard them, I said, 'These people have got the power. And the roots are there.' But they just kick butt."

You can pick up your copy along with other limited releases from other artists on April 19th.
