In the early morning hours of Jan. 23, pop sensation Justin Bieber was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving without a valid driver’s license. According to CNN, Bieber was released an hour later after posting a standard $2,500 bond. His stint in jail may have been short-lived, but the incident lives on. Billboard posted on Jan. 24 that Bieber’s arrest resulted in more than four million tweets in just 24 hours. Social media wasn’t the only thing alive with Justin Bieber comments. Late night comedians David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon also got in on the act with jokes and commentary. Below is what late night comedians had to say about the Justin Bieber's arrest this week, just one more event in a recent string of very bad PR moves.
On Jan. 23, the host of "Late Show” on CBS devoted an entire “Top Ten” segment to Justin Bieber. David Letterman's topic was “Top Ten Justin Bieber Headlines We’re Likely To Read.”

Over on ABC, the host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” also took swipes at Justin Bieber after his arrest. Kimmel devoted a good portion of his opening monologue on Thursday to make the following jokes about Bieber.
I wonder where it all went wrong for Justin Bieber. Just a few years ago, he was a cute little kid with a bowl haircut. Now, he’s a drink-driving, egg throwing, drag racing hooligan.
No word yet whether Justin Bieber will be charged with a felony or a misde-bieber. But that is pending.
He failed a sobriety test. Well, of course he failed a sobriety test – the kid’s pants are halfway down around his ankles. How’s he supposed to walk a straight line?
Just when the streets are finally safe from Lindsay Lohan, Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach this morning…and he’s in trouble with his grandparents for not stopping by to visit while he was in town.
Like his cohorts, Jimmy Fallon also made Justin Bieber the butt of his late night jokes this week. Set to take over “The Tonight Show” from Jay Leno on Feb. 17, Fallon said on air:
I don’t know if I’m looking at a mug shot or a Proactiv commercial. He’s so excited to be arrested!
He’s facing a pretty stiff penalty. They’re saying he could get up to two years of being his own neighbor, which is just awful. It’s just awful. You don’t want that.
For years and years, late night comedians have always turned to the latest celebrity headlines as a source for post prime time monologues. The biggest bonanzas for material were Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan and the battle of the late night wars. Justin Bieber, who seems to be on a collision course of late, is their newest source of comedy fuel. Fans hope Bieber straightens out soon before even more damage is done.
