The day after Halloween and the costume stories keep coming. Tuesday night on David Letterman, guest star Ben Stiller described Halloween at his home. Picture in hand, Ben described how his son requested that Ben dress up as Darth Vader.
Ben's son was dressing up as Luke Skywalker and wanted his dad (Ben) to be related in costume. The photo was so cute.When asked about the story, Ben said that just a few years ago, his kids asked the parents to dress up for Halloween. In an effort to do things differently than his family, Ben complied. They allow the kids to pick out the costumes. Ben's daughter was an angel not only in real life but in costume - "she was an angel with wings."
Ben did say this about his slightly uncomfortable costume: "I look more like Rick Moranis in Spaceballs." The comment drew laughter from the crowd.
Ben Stiller did have fun being Darth Vader. His run in with a child who recognized him from the Night in the Museum movie was a funny touch to his story. Watch the video clip or the full David Lettermen show by clicking here.
