David Letterman does his best to confuse 'Saturday Night Live's' Kristen Wiig

Kristen Wiig certainly has plenty to celebrate at the moment courtesy of her movie "Bridesmaids," but before she takes off to the Academy Awards in a week she stopped by "The Late Show with David Letterman" Friday night.

The end result of this? One rather funny (albeit awkward) interview. First, Wiig told a story of how she fell at one point during her presenting gig at the 2012 BAFTA Awards earlier this year -- but that Brad Pitt was the only person who really seemed to notice at all. Then, Letterman managed to confuse the "Saturday Night Live" cast member courtesy of some rather vague questions about what sort of film she's working on next. At first, she started to say that she wasn't making another "Bridesmaids" -- but then Letterman said that he wasn't curious as to that, but whether or not she was just going to make another movie using another predominently all-female cast.

You can see Wiig on this week's edition of the NBC late-night show, which will feature Maya Rudolph as a host.
