Comic and late night host David Letterman, confirmed during his monologue that he indeed had sexual relationships with female employees.
Letterman : " this whole thing has been quite scary."
Reportedly he mixed in a few jokes with his confession, which confused the audience as to the validity of the story. as to whether this was all a joke or not.

Sources at CBS say the person involved in the 2 million dollar extortion plot has been arrested. The alleged perpetrator works for the true crime show 48 hours. An unconfirmed report states that the person of interest in this plot is Robert J. Halderman. Another person connected with 48 hours has the same last name, Joe Halderman. Halderman was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding continuing coverage of a news story in a news magazine in 2008.
There has been no official comment from his wife and mother of his son Harry, Regina Lasko.
