David Lee scored 31 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Los Angeles Lakers in a preseason game in Beijing, China on Oct. 15. Lee finished 12 of 16 from the field.
"The way it's supposed to work is that we can get some stuff on the inside early in the game and that will open up the outside for guys like Steph [Curry] to shoot 3s as the game goes on," Lee said.
Stephen Curry added 24 points and seven assists while Andrew Bogut contributed nine points and 14 caroms, including five on the offensive end.
The Lakers led 54-52 at halftime and stretched their lead to 80-69 at the end of three, as Young and Xavier Henry each tallied six points.
However, the Lakers defense faded in the fourth quarter. Golden State outscored Los Angeles 31-15 in the final stanza. Curry, who knocked down a trey to tie the game at 84, scored 14 points over the final 12 minutes.
Golden State coach Mark Jackson said Curry has been healthy the entire offseason.
"I thought tonight for the first time in a long time he had a rhythm and he was the best player on the floor," Jackson said. "It was great to see and we expect tremendous (things) from him throughout the course of this season."
Curry said the Warriors played "probably our best half in the second half all preseason."
Los Angeles and Golden State will meet again on Oct. 17, in Shanghai, China.
