David John and the Comstock Cowboys @ Candy Dance Dinner-Dance in Genoa

Get away to Genoa for the Candy Dance Arts and Crafts Faire & Dinner-Dance

The Candy Dance Arts and Crafts Faire is on the last full weekend of September each year. The dates for the 89th Annual Candy Dance Faire are Saturday and Sunday, September 25-26, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 2010 Candy Dance Dinner & Dance will be held on Saturday evening from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Genoa Town Park on Nixon Street. A no-host bar will open at 4 p.m.

Headlining the dance is returning favorite David John and the Comstock Cowboys. Fans of David John and the Comstock Cowboys will be glad to hear their favorites playing in the Genoa Park on Saturday, September 26. They perform original music, written by David John, and, in their unique style, they sing about Cowboys, Horses, Soldiers, The West, and Nature at it's grandest.

Special Guest Wylie and the Wild West will have you yodeling in no time, and Wylie is ready to entertain your socks off!  Wylie Gustafson, singer, rancher, horseman and the world-famous Yahoo ”yodeler,” leads the musical outfit known as The Wild West. Getting their start on Ronnie Mack’s Barn Dance at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood, Wylie and The Wild West have played thousands of gigs, delighting audiences around the world with their unique brand of good-time cowboy music. They've performed at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, The National Folk Festival, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, on A Prairie Home Companion, and have appeared more than 50 times on the Grand Ole Opry. Add to that an appearance by Wylie on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, with Wylie teaching Conan to yodel.
