David Haye, Shane Mosley, Michael Katsidis, and Bernard Hopkins present at Marquez-Diaz weigh in

Earlier today inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada the official weigh in for tomorrow night’s Fight of the year: The rematch event was held. The main event features a rematch of last year’s fight of the year between WBA and WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez and fan favorite Juan ‘Baby Bull’ Diaz. For tomorrow night’s bout Diaz weighed in at 135 pounds on the dot while Marquez came in at 133 ½.

The Golden Boy Promotions’ event saw WBA Heavyweight champion David Haye, WBA Jr. Welterweight champion Amir Khan, Lightweight contender Michael Katsidis, and living legends Bernard Hopkins and Shane Mosley in attendance for today’s weigh in. While the pay-per-view event may not be as intriguing as other shows in recent years seeing a nice collection of boxing luminaries come together confirms that it is still a high-profile affair.

In a battle for the vacant WBO Middleweight championship, Brooklyn’s Danny Jacobs weighed in at 159 pounds while his Russian opponent Dmitry Pirog came in at 160. While little has been said about Pirog up until this point it is Jacobs who was deemed ESPN’s 2009 prospect of the year and he will have many people rooting for him.

In a Jr. Welterweight attraction between two men who have had success in lower weight classes, Gilroy, California’s Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero weighed in at 138 ½ pounds while his opponent Joel Casamayor came in at 138. Both men have won titles in two separate weight divisions but it is Casmayor who is far more experienced, as the Cuban southpaw could provide some trouble for his ambitious foe.

One of the more interesting contests of the night will see former champion Jorge Linares taking on hard-luck Rocky Juarez. Linares is still looking to redeem himself from his October 2009 first round knockout loss to Juan Carlos Salgado and came in at 132 ½ pounds. Juarez is known best for coming up short time and time again despite always giving a professional effort. The Houston, Texas native weighed in at 132 pounds.

Vegas insiders disappointed, feel that Floyd Mayweather isn’t ready for Pacquiao

“I don't think Floyd ever wanted the fight,” Mulvaney stated. “I don't think he had ever intention of taking the fight, and I doubt he ever seriously engaged in any discussions on the fight. I don't know that he was specifically looking to evade Pacquiao, although it is starting to look like it, or whether he just simply didn't want to fight, period. I don't think he really... Up on the stage, Golden Boy Promotions fighters and partners. Michael Katsidis, David Haye, Amir Khan, Bernard Hopkins, and of course Oscar De La Hoya.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has never been counted as a Golden Boy figher!

Never mingles with boxing fighters and crowd who propel and market the sport of boxing.

A deviant boxer who is pure and simply an Arrogant SOB!

With Floyd Jr out of the Golden Boy Promotions for this recent and important fighting event, he just doesn't care!

Why does HBO and other prominent and influencial people care about the Mayweathers!

He snubs even the established and main stream media outlets to announce his retirement, updates or decisions regarding Pacquaio's November bout, 'chillin out't with Don King by Twitter.

I mean, why accord the SOB with anyone's valued time for keeps sake?

Boycott the SOB! Dismiss him as 'has been' or someone Mythical!
