David Guetta releases new single 'Shot Me Down' featuring Skylar Grey

On Jan. 20 it was announced in an official press release that French DJ/Producer David Guetta released his new single "Shot Me Down" featuring Skylar Grey on BeatPort. The song “Shot Me Down” is a dance version of the 1966 classic “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down),” which was originally performed by Cher and Nancy Sinatra. Guetta is currently working on his sixth studio album, and during that time he will be releasing a series of beats on his Jack Beck Records label. The first to be released is the track "Shot Me Down". Cher's song "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" was released as a single in 1966 and it went on to reach No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

David Guetta's last studio album featuring all new material was entitled, "Nothing but the Beat". It was released in 2011 and it went on to reach No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
