David Finch signs exclusive contract with DC Comics

DC Comics’ official blog, The Source, has just announced that DC has signed artist David Finch to an exclusive contract.

From The Source:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the DC family! It feels too good to be true that I’m going to have the chance to draw some of the most dynamic, iconic, and fun characters in the business. I’ve been a DC comics fan for a very long time, so it’s a very big honor to finally have a part in their creation.”

Finch is best known for his work on Marvel’s stable of characters, notably Moon Knight and the Ultimate Universe of characters in the Ultimatum miniseries that bridged the Ultimate line and the Ultimate Comics line. His only interior work featuring DC characters was in the Darkness/Batman inter-company special.

There is little further information about what titles or character Finch may be illustrating, although in a subsequent interview with Comic Book Resources, it is implied that he will be working on covers before moving onto story pages.
