Did this man snort coke 40 feet from Obama? (photo: NYMag.com)
This story comes to us from the infamously awesome Gawker-- that celebrity gossip/news site that we're always referencing-- and is quite the story: Apparently, "Arrested Development" star and brilliant stand up comedian pulled off a pretty insane stunt just 40 feet from the President of the United States. Real, or fake? Let's go to the details and see what you think, folks. Read on, my gentle Examiner readers...
We're not sure what to make of this story, so we're just going to present the facts as we have learned them and allow you to draw your own conclusion. Comedian David Cross-- he of the dearly departed "Mr. Show" and "Arrested Development"-- attended the White House Correspondents Dinner this year, and to hear him tell the story, he had quite the evening:
I've got photos of all this. ... I'm there and the president is right here and with all these people at the table" Cross snorted some coke, he said. "Maybe 40 feet from the president of the United States!"
This is the same David Cross, we might add, that was on Conan O'Brien just a few months ago talking about smoking crack somewhere over in Europe. This story comes to us from Gawker, who had the following commentary to add to their report:
Pics or it didn't happen, David Cross. This is the edgiest thing to happen at the White House Correspondents Association dinner since Steven Colbert devastatingly spoke truth to power, simultaneously bruising the egos of the White House lapdog press corps and making Bush squirm through a sparkling recounting of his tragic flaws.
Something tells us that Cross is wise enough not to release such pictures, if indeed this story is true. What do you make of it, folks? Real, or fake?
