David Cook working in the studio with Claude Kelly

Claude Kelly was in the recording studio yesterday in New York City with American Idol winner David Cook. He tweets “Where are all the David Cook fans? im in the studio with the incredible @thedavidcook now! Rockin the f&*k out!” And later David tweets back David tweeted back, “everyone check out @ClaudeKelly> Rad dude. yep, I said it. RAD. DUDE. ”

Claude Kelly, is mostly know for working with other hit makers like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears (“Circus”), Kelly Clarkson (“Since U Been Gone” and “:My Life Would Suck Without You”) and more recently Adam Lambert. So it’s a bit surprising to hear that he’s in the studio with a rock artist like David Cook. Kelly has been one of the most sought-after songwriters in the music industry and his work seems to cross all genres, from rap to R&B to rock. He gives David some nice compliments when he tweets “yo!!! @thedavidcook is killing it behind the mic! Geez. HUGE voice! sweet Jehozzefat!” and “Song #2! @thedavidcook is burning it up! goosebumps…stay tuned.”

It will definitely be interesting to see what comes out of this collaboration. Kelly’s most recent hit was Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA.” So what will come out of the rocker Idol’s teaming with this hitmaker? Only time can tell.
