David Cassidy has been ordered to three months of rehab following a drunk driving incident in January, according to a March 25 report on MSN.com. The 63-year-old former 1970s heartthrob was also ordered to attend nine months of alcohol counseling, pay fines, and remain on probation for five years.
Cassidy played Keith Partridge in “The Partridge Family,” an ABC series about a singing widow and her family who toured in a colorful old school bus. The show ran from Sept. 25, 1970 to March 23, 1974, filming 96 episodes. The OC Register reminds us that it was actually forty years ago this week when the last “Partridge Family” show aired.
According to Imdb.com, Cassidy has been married three times, and the last wife of 22 years, Sue Shifrin, has filed for divorce as of Feb. 2014. The couple has a 23-year-old son named Beau Devin Cassidy. David Cassidy also has a 26-year-old daughter from another relationship, Katie Cassidy. She is a singer and actor in her own right, and she actually recorded one of her father’s biggest hits, “I Think I Love You.”
