Just when you thought that Danny Bonaduce was the most dysfunctional of the 'Partridge Family' alumni, think again. David Cassidy has gotten himself into some pretty hot water over a DUI he obtained over the past week.
Cassidy was caught with a half-empty bottle of bourbon tucked away in the right backseat floorboard of his vehicle when he was arrested for drunk driving in Florida this week.
The ex-teen star, now 60, was pulled over by Highway Patrol officers on the the Florida Turnpike around 8 pm Wednesday evening, according to police sources. Cops say they made the stop after they saw Cassidy’s 2008 Mercedes weaving all over the road. He almost hit another car and that's when the Highway Patrol Officer's moved in.
Cassidy told cops he drank a glass of wine at lunch time and popped a painkiller a few hours before he was stopped, but he insists he was not under the influence when he got behind the wheel of his Mercedes.
Cassidy was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail and released early Thursday on $350 bond.
A pair of breath tests David took at the time of his arrest registered blood alcohol readings of 0.139 and 0.141 — significantly higher than the .08 legal limit, cops say.
“Hogwash,” shouts Cassidy. The singer/actor is emphatic that his true blood alcohol level was not properly measured during the two breathalyzer tests he was given and has vowed to fight the charges. A drinkers famous last words.....

All I can say is he is one pathetic has been. He can't even accept responsibility for his arrest! WOW! He daughter Katie has become quite successful and seems to have her head on her shoulders. She must be soooo embarrassed. BTW, I reserched and Katie did not ever have a DUI, she was taken in for under age drinking, NOT DRIVING (smart girl) and only 2 weeks before her 21st birthday. I say "high five" she didn't get into a car and drive!!! He's just plain stupid.
Got something to say?
