David Cassidy the former 70s teen idol and star of the the hit comedy sitcom "The Partridge Family" has been arrested for drunk driving in upstate New York after he was stopped at a DWI checkpoint outside of Albany on Wednesday, August 21, according to TMZ reports.
The celebrity news site reported that David Cassidy was pulled over in a routine checkpoint stop by an officer name Tom Jones, where he blew a .1 and was handcuffed and taken to a nearby jail for booking.
This is bad news for David Cassidy, who will now face felony drunk driving due to his previous arrest in Florida.
Cassidy, 63, is a regular at Saratoga Race Course and spends parts of the summer in the region. Police said his year-round address is in Fort Lauderdale.
According to CNN reports, Cassidy was ordered to serve a year probation and had his license suspended for six months after pleading no contest in February 2011 to a charge of driving under the influence in Florida.

Arraigned in town court, Cassidy was sent to the Rensselaer County Jail on $2,500 bail.

Cassidy is best known as a popular 70s teen idol TV actor and musician scheduled to appear on an upcomig episode of Oprah Winfrey's series "Where Are they Now."
