David Cassidy and Sue Shifrin-Cassidy ending 23 year marriage

Another marriage is on the rocks and headed for divorce. According to TMZ, Feb. 11, 2014, Sue Shifrin-Cassidy and David Cassidy are filing for divorce. The couple separated in August 2014.

Although David has been having alcohol problems, Sue does not say that is the reason for their divorce. She told TMZ, "I'm glad David is getting the help he needs and I am confident he will come back better and stronger than ever." Sue said that their decision to separate has not been easy. "This has been looming for some time. I am truly heartbroken that our marriage is ending."

David, 63, and Sue, 64, have known each other for 28 years and they were married for 23 years. During that time, David has been arrested for DUI three times. His last DUI arrest was January in Los Angeles, where he allegedly blew a 0.19 blood alcohol test. "Entertainment Tonight" reports that Jo-Ann Geffen blames the reason for his lapse of sobriety on that day was because of the “Partridge Family” merchandise lawsuits.

Currently, David is in rehab trying to get help from his alcohol addiction. He told "Entertainment Tonight," on Feb. 5, 2014, "I will remain in treatment for as long as necessary, and I am getting the best care I can possibly get anywhere. I am working as hard as any human being to live a sober life. "

The couple have one son together, Beau, 23. David has another daughter, Katie Cassidy from a previous relationship. Katie stars on "Arrow."

David Cassidy will be performing at the Grand Falls Casino in South Dakota on Feb. 14, 2014.The doors open 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. central. Ticket prices are $25 and $30 plus tax and an online/phone ticketing fee. However, if you purchase the tickets in the gift shop, you will not be charged the online/phone ticketing fee.
