David Bowie had seemingly retired, many fans thought because of his quiet behavior and lack of public appearances at high profile parties and events. On March 12 CBS News shares that that is completely opposite of the truth as Bowie is set to release his new album, "The Next Day" on Tuesday.
Music lovers know that David Bowie has reinvented himself and his music several times over but this new album, his first in a decade seems to be more of a looking back on life and how he got to where he is today. Much of his music started in the 70s when glam rock was big and musicians didn't make it unless they had a wild story, and fantastic stage makeup to go with it. Bowie started his presence that way and it has changed several times.
The first song on David Bowie's new album is entitled "Where Are We Now" and looks back on his career and music as a whole. The record produced by Columbia, is already critically acclaimed and hasn't even hit stores yet. "The Next Day" is a stream of consciousness type of record with transcending lyrics and electrifying riffs that will bring David Bowie fans all genres of his music together.
