David Beckham’s first full start for his new club Paris Saint Germain in France ended with him not only arguing with the ref, but grabbing an opponent’s face.
Former LA Galaxy star helped his team take a 2 -0 lead in the first 20 minutes against Saint-Etienne on which appeared to be a break away game, however shortly before Etienne clawed one back, Brandao stamped on PSG’s Thiago Silva’s shin at which point Beckham told him of his disgust at that behavior.
Brandao decided he was not finished and poked Beckham in the cheek aggressively in which David responded by grabbing him by the face in which Brandao copy-catted before each teams players charged in to separate the two.
As the game drew to a close PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Beckham closed in on the ref Gautier and let him know exactly what they thought of his performance in this match or lack of.
