David Bastian and Romeo announce they've auditioned for 'Divergent' adaptation (Photos)

Actors David Bastian and Romeo have now admitted to trying out for the Divergent book-to-film adaptation for varying roles.

Bastian tweeted about his audition in late January, writing "Wow! Lots of rumors about #divergent While I have auditioned for the role of Max, I haven't yet been cast in that role. I'd love 2 tho!"

The character Max, fans might recall, is the Dauntless faction leader whose story continues on into Insurgent, book two.

Meanwhile, Romeo (formerly known as 'Lil Romeo, a rapper, actor, model and basketball player whose father is Master P) revealed his audition for an unnamed role today on Twitter, writing "Big day! Going in for the movie DIVERGENT! I live for moments like this #dauntless mind frame."

Romeo added on his Instagram feed that there's a story behind his audition for Divergent:

10 months ago Mike Pasternak told me about this project 'Divergent.' Little did he know that I was a big fan of the book already! This day - TODAY - I am going in to a meeting for this amazing project! must say out of everything I've accomplished that this day - TODAY I am the most excited. Always dream big and be FEARLESS #dauntless

Any ideas on which role Romeo might be up for (my proverbial money's on Will)?
