David Arquette fiancé: Ring makes a flashy debut at Aspen event

David Arquette's fiancé showed off her ring proudly at an event held in Aspen on Sunday. Christina McLarty, the bride-to-be, smiled from ear to ear on the red carpet, and Arquette even pointed out the ring on her finger in one photo. Too Fab shared photos of the couple at the Aspen event on July 7, and David Arquette proposed to McLarty on July 2.

That proposal followed the engagement announcement of Courteney Cox. The actress went to her Instagram to reveal her engagement news just the week before, and she is engaged to Johnny McDaid from the band Snow Patrol. Arquette and Cox married in 1999 after they met on the set of "Scream," but the couple divorced in 2010. Arquette and McLarty started dating in 2011 and it was a rocky beginning, with the couple splitting briefly in 2012. However, they reunited in 2013, and they now share a son together. Charlie West entered the world just two months ago.

When Arquette proposed, he wanted both his son and daughter at the event. Coco is his nine-year-old daughter with Courteney. She attended the dinner where her father popped the big question. The proposal followed the meal. Arquette asked everyone to go outside, where he got down on one knee to propose. A source said the following about the moment and Arquette’s decision to marry:

"David was just waiting for the right time. He and Courteney both talked about taking the next step in their relationships … They both want what's best for each other."

The actor planned the proposal long before the big night though. He flew to Vegas to ask Christina’s father for permission to propose. Such an old-fashioned move is not common these days, but David wanted to do things right with Christina. Following the proposal, David and Christina traveled to Aspen to celebrate their engagement.

It was in Aspen that David and Christina decided to show off her new ring. The couple attended the Aspen Peak Magazine's 10th Anniversary Celebration. David co-hosted the event with his business partner John Terizan. After Arquette’s relationship with Cox ended, the actor dealt with several problems that led to a stay in rehab in 2011.

With a new son and a wedding to plan, David has straightened his life out it seems. Flashing the ring and showing it off in such a manner might seem cheesy to some, but David and his future wife do not seem to care one bit about that. The smiles on both his and Christina’s face show just how happy they are together.
