In case all you “archies” and “arch angels” missed it, a broadly smiling and gracious David Archuleta strode onto the court at the 2009 U.S. Open tennis tournament at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York on Sunday, September 13, 2009.

Archuleta performed a soulful and heartfelt rendition of America the Beautiful before the start of the women’s finals championship between Caroline Wozniacki, of Denmark, and Kim Clijsters, of Belgium.

Enjoy his moving performance.
