David Archuleta cover wishlist: Luis Miguel, Coldplay, The Beatles, Keane, The Rolling Stones.
American Idol alums like David Archuleta found their spotlight doing covers on the succesful competition/reality show. Which means they know how to sing somebody else's song, and do a great job. David Archuleta is no exception, and as he recently proved singing "Contigo en la Distancia" at the ALMA Awards, he can do it in Spanish, too. Or in a Holiday style, as he does in his album "Christmas From The Heart," soon to be released (October 13th) and already a hit in pre-orders.
The question, then, was obvious: which other great songs could David Archuleta cover? The ideas this site came up with go from another very romantic ballad in Spanish to modern bands, and the always unavoidable classics. What do you think? Would you prefer to hear David Archuleta singing "La Puerta," also covered by Luis Miguel, "The Hardest Part" by Coldplay, "Here, There and Everywhere" by The Beatles, "Everybody's Changing" by Keane, or "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones, also recently covered by Susan Boyle?

David can "sing the phonebook" like Randy and Paul said when David was on American Idol. I still love David's rendition of "Imagine" by the Beatles. I wish he would sing that on his new album that might come out in 2010.
David can sin any of these but I think Wild Horses would be amazing! Maybe a duet with Susan Boyle!

I put One by Bono in other....truthfully he could sing anything and I would listen...lol
would love to hear David sing "To Make You Feel My Love", sung by Tricia Yearwood and Garth Brooks. I believe David's vocal coach for many years now thought David would sing this particularly well.
He should most definetly cover a luis miguel song!!! Could any of you just imagine how beautiful that would sound!?!?
Ooh. First of all, thanks for this poll. This is kind of fun. Except I don't really care for any of these songs, haha. I'm too tired to pick my own, so I went with "The Hardest Part" by Coldplay. It's the only one I can envision him singing. Maybe later I'll think of my own choice.
The same as Elaine, I love to hear David A. sings When You Say You Love Me by Josh Groban. But I want him to sing the complete song. It will be beyond beautiful.
