David and Goliath--Christians versus death's Behemoth

See also

In America, death has become big business.

Death is an economic Behemoth, growing daily. Surely, national sentiment is pointing toward the abolition of Roe vs. Wade. But the great spiritual vacuum, which is America, has many more violent acts to replace abortion if it were to succumb to Christian Love. Planned Parenthood, we must not forget, is deeply rooted in governmental support. Money speaks, and Socialists--and Democrats (and, yes, Republicans too!)--though feigning the sentiments of Pro-Life Americans, have their dirty little hands in the lucrative business of baby killing. Besides, Planned Parenthood is a monster in the contraceptive business--just another form of human destruction.

But the problem is much bigger than Planned Parenthood and dirty politicians.

"Then the Philistine cursed David by his gods
and said to him, “Come here to me,
and I will leave your flesh for the birds of the air
and the beasts of the field.
” 1 Samuel 17:32-33, 37, 40-51

Goliath is more than just a crooked 'health' care facility, more than just a bunch of crooked politicians. Goliath is the new 'change' in the spirit of America. Goliath is the 'new atheism,' masked as the new 'social justice,' which is a militant force against Judaeo-Christian heritage, willing to feed our babies to 'the birds of the air' and the 'beasts of the field.' Goliath, moreover, is legion--the principalities and powers which inspired legalized abortion in America, have inspired a new America where marriage is being pillaged, family is being redefined in diabolical terms, morality is pick and choose at best, sexuality is a game devoid of love, and our children are targeted as minions of despicable ideologies based on killer 'isms' (socialism, hedonism, materialism, atheism, agnosticism, consumerism, etc.).

Goliath is in our face. What are we going to do?

"Blessed be the LORD, my rock,
who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war
." Psalm 144: 1-2, 9-10

The 'Kumbaya' Christian would suggest we hug our enemy, sing him a song, and all will be well. The 'Cafeteria' Catholic would suggest we join the ranks of the enemy; after all, 'when in hell, do as the devils do!' But God (is Love), paradoxically, calls us to war! After all, 'love the sinner, hate the sin,' includes HATE the sin. You're not going to tell me that if you had terminal cancer in your leg you wouldn't want the surgeon to cut it out. Surgery is violence. You're not going to tell me that if your daughter was being attacked by a baseball bat wielding thug, you wouldn't do everything within your physical power to shield her, thereby thwarting his attack. Physically defending someone necessitates 'violence.'

It's high time bold Catholic/Christian 'violence,' took back our blessed nation!

"Then he said to the Pharisees, 'Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it?' But they remained silent. Looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart, Jesus said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand.' He stretched it out and his hand was restored. The Pharisees went out and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him to put him to death." Mark 3:1-6

Jesus teaches us to do good EVEN IF IT BREAKS LAWS. Any 'law' which goes against Christ is no law at all. Jesus teaches us to do violence to the violent by being militant in goodness. Find the wounded and share Christ's healing. Find the defenseless and defend them even if their persecutors are Goliath in strength. Break the laws, and the bonds, of the principalities and powers, even if it makes you unpopular in social circles, unwanted in 'Cafeteria' Catholic ecclesiology, and unemployable in the business of darkness. Do violence to the culture of death--in faithful Love of the Lord--even if it nails you to the cross.

Jesus did.
