Dave Matthews Band announce 2012 headlining tour dates

On Feb. 15 the Dave Matthews Band (DMB) officially released 2012 spring/summer headlining tour dates in support of their upcoming eighth studio album. Dave Matthews Band's extensive North American headlining tour will begin on May 18 in Woodlands, TX and conclude on Sept. 9 in Mountain View, CA. The band also posted that they are currently recording a new album with Steve Lillywhite, producer of the band's first three studio albums, Under The Table And Dreaming, Crash and Before These Crowded Streets. The new record will be the follow-up studio album to their 2009 Grammy nominated album, Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King.

Dave Matthews Band 2012 headlining tour will have a rotating roster of opening acts. Each opening act will only be performing at a handful of shows. In total there will be 14 different bands rotating in and out of the tour. The opening bands or artists include Allen Stone, The Avett Brothers, Tower of Power, SOJA, Brandi Carlie, Delta Spirit, Gary Clark Jr., Fitz and the Tantrums, Lettuce, Blind Pilot, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Mariachi El Bronx, The Head and the Heart, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.

Pre-sale tickets are open to members of the Dave Matthews Band Warehouse fan club. Warehouse ticket requests become available on Thursday, February 16 at 10 AM ET and closes Monday, February 27 at 10 AM ET. For more information visit the official Warehouse fan page.
