While checking out a local car show this past Saturday I ran across a unique motorized bicycle
It looks like a vintage motorcycle from a distance, with its belt drive lever and exposed valve gear.
Upon asking it owner Dave Fair of Riverside, it is actually a 2012 model.
Dave wanted to make it an old bike and he achieved that goal as several other people were asking the same question I did and figured it was an old classic motorcycle.
The bike paint was made to look old and is combination of paint and technique.
The engine is a 49cc Tanaka engine, that Dave modified to look an old motorcycle engine with the exposed valve gear is actually not real.
The bike is pedal started and the belt is tensioned with a lever to engage the drive gears.
The bike was drawing a lot attention along with Dave’s car which is a Rat Rod built on old BMW Iseta shell.
