Los Angeles residents can now drink, eat and play at the new and conveniently located Dave and Busters near LAX.

Dave and Busters (D&B) is a restaurant, bar and arcade that caters to adults 21 and older. However, children are welcome until 10 p.m.

D&B in Los Angeles contains a full restaurant and bar area where patrons can watch sports on one of the many televisions, have dinner and a drink or play pool.

Located behind the restaurant is a large arcade that contains skee ball, air hockey and several classic and new arcade games. This restaurant/game-zone is essentially a Chuck E. Cheese for adults and local college students.

Local graduate student and staff member from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), Ian de Asis, recently visited the D&B in Los Angeles and had a night filled with good food, laughter and fun.

"My favorite part was trying the dance [revolution] at the arcade, the game didn't give out any tickets, but the hilarity of trying to step on those speeding arrows was worth it," said de Asis.

In the arcade individuals must have a power card to play. Cards can be activated in the restaurant or purchased at one of the kiosks for $2.

The power cards keep track of non-redeemed tickets and can be brought back to any D&B location in the future. Tickets are redeemed at a store within the arcade. There, individuals can choose from a variety of D&B merchandise, candy, toys and gag gifts.

"I would definitely go back, I'm even thinking of having my birthday party there," said de Asis in response to her experience at D&B.

The CSUN graduate student also recommends that those who are visiting for the first time wear comfortable shoes and get one of the power card and meal combinations at the restaurant.

D&B in Los Angeles is located at The Promenade at Howard Hughes Center and is open Sunday through Monday 11 a.m. to midnight and Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
