Dauntless Onslaught is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed Sept. 11, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set in a Tweet by Erik Lauer (@ErikLauer). This powerful white uncommon instant is amazing when cast on your heroic creatures.
Dauntless Onslaught - 2W
Up to two target creatures each get +2/+2 until end of turn.
"The people of Akros must learn from our leonin adversaries. If we match their staunch ferocity with our superior faith, we cannot fail."
-Cymede, queen of Akros
Dauntless Onslaught is a fantastic spell to trigger your heroic creatures, from Anthousa, Setessan Hero to Anax and Cymede. You thought my Akroan Crusader wasn't going to block your attacking Tormented Hero? Think again. Want to see Dauntless Onslaught get really nasty? Try targeting an Agent of Fates or two with it. Can you say card advantage? That's a potential four-for-one.
Even without playing heroic creatures Dauntless Onslaught can be a devastating card, especially in limited where combat tricks really matter. In the right circumstances you'll be able to use Dauntless Onslaught as a removal spell to take out not one but two of your rival's threats. With only one white in its mana cost, Dauntless Onslaught is easy to splash into multicolored draft or sealed decks. Dauntless Onslaught is one instant you don't want to pass in draft.
How will you use Dauntless Onslaught?
