Chris Daughtry is once again linked to CSI franchise. Last year the Daughtry front man made an appearance on the 100th episode of CSI: NY where he guest starred in the role of "Mac Taylor." This year CBS is using the bands track "Ghost of Me" in television promo's for the eight season of CSI: Miami.
This isn't the first television spot this year that has featured music by Daughtry. ESPN used five different tracks including "Home" and "No Surprise" to promote various events and programs over the summer.
"Ghost of Me" is from the recent sophomore album, Leave This Town, which has sold over 750,000 copies since it's mid-July release. The first single "No Surprise" tops the Billboard charts this week making it the fourth #1 for the band. It also helped them tie Matchbox 20 for the second-most #1 songs by a band in the magazine’s 13-year history. Only Nickelback is ahead of them topping the charts five times. Daughtry is currently preparing for their first headline arena tour scheduled to kick of in Topeka, KS on October 19th.
