Dating in an oversized world - 'Big, Blonde, & Beautiful'

It was closing night of Arriane Alexander's cabaret show, Big, Blonde, & Beautiful at Catch One nightclub in Los Angeles.

On Saturday, August 22, 2009, Arriane, a recent contestant on the FOX television reality show More to Love,  where plus-sized women had the opportunity in being chosen by an eligible bachelor, dished out her love stories and woes of being single and oversized in today's dating world.

She started her performance with, "Wait a minute..I've got to twitter" and took a few breaks to update her facebook status in between songs where she went from being listed as "single" to "in a relationship" which was quickly changed to "it's complicated." It's not unusual to see this happen in cyberspace, regardless of your dress size.

Arriane Alexander shared her personal story of how her life completely changed two years ago when she left the fashion world to become a cabaret singer. It's not your everyday occupation, but she sang with sincerity and passion as she reminded the crowd that she was a cabaret singer, and not a stripper.

In between songs she shared her experience of being a contestant on the FOX dating show where she was one of 20 voluptuous women in competition hoping to be selected by 26-year old bachelor, Luke Conley 

Although Luke didn't choose Arriane to ride off into the sunset with, she still believes that dreams can come true. Her self confidence is to be admired. She told the crowd, 'I'm 5'10" and worth the climb."
