Privacy has become a priceless commodity.
Data Privacy Day is held on January 28th every year. It is an effort to empower people to protect their privacy and control their digital footprint and escalate the protection of privacy and data as everyone’s priority.
What are you doing to secure your privacy online?
- Take the time to check and double check your privacy settings on all your social networking sites. This is a habit you should get into weekly.
- Remind your kids frequently, never post their address, phone number, birthday or financial information on social media sites.
- Remind your kids frequently, what goes online--stays online. Realize that someday they will be applying for colleges and filling out job applications. Any questionable photo's shouldn't be posted at all.
- Change your password. It is always good to change your password at least once a month. Remind your kids never to give out their passwords, with the exception to their parents.
