On Tuesday, September 7 the dastardly Dr. David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry) was pronounced dead at the party that Caleb Cortlandt (Michael Nouri) threw in honor of his uncle, Palmer (James Mitchell). That seems to be what the actor is saying on his website. But why would ABC allow one of AMC's greatest assets ever to walk away, possibly to another soap? And, what makes even less sense is the fact that Adam Chandler (David Canary) just left the show in the spring. Adam and David are the story makers, the soap needs their tyranny to generate effective stories that we invest in.
AMC's fans are outraged, as can be seen by looking at the message boards, and many of them do not believe that David is really dead. In fact, knowing AMC's past record David may not be gone for real. After all, Jessie Hubbard (
