Daryl Hannah: Sean Hannity promises to pay actress' bail after arrest

Daryl Hannah and other civil rights activists, including Robert Kennedy Jr., his son Connor Kennedy were arrested on Feb. 13 during a climate change rally in Washington DC, according to a Feb. 14 International Business Times report. The activists, who attached themselves to the gates of the White House were protesting against the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

According the Hollywood Reporter, Hannah was released in time to visit Sean Hannity on FOX News. On “Hannity,” the host showed a video of Hannah being handcuffed, and quipped, “So you got out of jail in time.”

Alluding to the fact that this was not the first time that Hannah had been arrested, he reminded her, “Last time you were on the program, I said I would bail you out of jail. I tried to do it the last time you were arrested, and I wasn’t able to. So how do I bail you out?”

“That’s because my bail was too big last time. Now you only owe me a hundred bucks,” Hannah said.

During the protest, Hannah and other protesters wearing “No KXL” buttons chanted, “Hey, Obama, we don’t want no climate drama,” and “Barack Obama, yes you can stop the dirty pipeline plan.” President Obama was at his post-State Union address trip in North Carolina at the time of the protest.

Another activist rally is scheduled for Presidents Day weekend.
