WWE superstar Darren Young joined the roster of the upcoming video game “WWE 2K15,” today, in an announcement during the GaymerX opening ceremony.
The self-proclaimed “Mr. No Days Off,” Young, who captured national headlines last year when he opened up about his sexuality, has wide arsenal of moves such as the Fireman’s Carry Gutbuster, the Bonecrusher (Running Powerslam) and the unique Full Nelson/Reverse STO combination. Between his cool signature and finishing moves and solid combination of speed and power, Young is a character that will play different from other WWE superstars.
A former member of the tag team The Prime Time Players with Titus O’Neill, Young is also a former member of the Nexus faction. Young, currently rehabbing a torn ACL from an injury suffered on April 16 in a match with Fandango, was also voted the “Most Inspirational Wrestler of the year” by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Although Young has yet to win singles or tag team gold in the WWE, he has been a champion in several independent promotions during his career.
With the announcement, Young joins the already confirmed John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Antonio Cesaro as a part of the game's roster.
“WWE 2K15” is set for a October 28 release in North America and will ship on October 31 internationally on the PlayStation 3, XBox 360, XBox One and PlayStation 4 game consoles.
