Darren Sproles' wife rips New Orleans Saints, says God will punish them

Michel Sproles didn't take kindly to how the Saints were treating her husband.

The New Orleans Saints made a big splash on the opening day of free agency when they signed safety Jairus Byrd, but there is a bit of controversy going on in the "Big Easy." Running back Darren Sproles was originally being shopped, then going to be released, but now he's being shopped again, and on March 12, 2014, his wife made it known that she wasn't happy about it.

Michel Sproles hopped on Instagram earlier on Wednesday, and started posting pics of Sproles from his time with the San Diego Chargers. On one picture, she even started out with this (typed as it appeared):

"I am so disappointed in the Saints organization & the way they are treating my husband. I understand this is a brutal business but when u have a good guy who works hard & does a lot for the community u would think they would show a little more respect. To verbalize to him that they will release him so at least he caan choose the team he wants to spend his last few years in the NFL on & then take it back without a word & try to trade him is f***ed up..."

Michel Sproles is referencing that the Saints originally were speaking of trading Darren Sproles, but then said they would release him.

Once the Saints learned that there was a lot of interest in him, they decided to hold onto to him and trade him so they wouldn't end up without something in return.

From there, Michel Sproles continued on:

"I no I have no control over this & God is gonna work it out but in the mean time I'm gon vent & talk s**t. Lol! WhoDat Nation get ready for a ride because the seeds yall front office is planting its not gon be a good look for yall... See the way my God is set up he gets the last say & can get u back better than the Compton Curse out I wanna give these muthaf****a!"

She included a few hashtags such as "#YesICurseAndPraiseGod" and derogatory things toward the Saints.

Fans jumped all over Michel Sproles for not only ripping on the Saints, but more so for her referencing God and cursing at the same time. Michel Sproles deleted the posts shortly after, but screenshots were grabbed by myself and others.

She had put up another post stating she isn't surprised at the attacks she's received online, and that she was doing an "experiment" to find her husband's "real fans."

Darren Sproles knows how the business works as he is a seasoned veteran, and if the Saints can get value out of a trade rather than a release, they are going to get it.

The running back advised ESPN that he didn't want to be traded, but he wanted to be released. Reports have the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens as being interested in a trade for Sproles.
