Darlene Zschech talks worship, intimacy and relationship with Jesus (videos)

On August 8, 2011, Darlene Zschech spoke with Terry Meeuwsen of “The 700 Club” and discussed worship, intimacy and relationship with Jesus. Many know Zschech as the worship leader of Hillsong Church, a position she held from 1995 until 2007; she also came to worldwide prominence after penning what has been dubbed as one of the most sung worship songs: Shout to the Lord. In 2011 Zschech and her husband Mark became pastors of their own church: Hope Unlimited. During Zschech’s interview with “The 700 Club” she spoke about her new book “The Art of Mentor.”
Meeuwsen began by addressing Darlene Zschech’s upcoming album “You Are Love” which will be released on September 6, 2011 and pointed those who are impatient for the new CD to check out the new Hillsong Live album “God is Able” where Darlene’s song “Cry of the Broken” appears. Meeuwsen spoke about worship and asked her why she believed worship was important to our relationship with Jesus.
Darlene Zschech stated, “It is critical to our relationship to the Lord. We were designed to be in relationship and communion with Him. And one of the great ways that God enables us to do that on earth is through worship. Whether it is through song- you know- song is a really key part of it- or through our lives being poured out.”
Terry Meeuwsen interjected, “There is an intimacy that comes into all of that.”
Darlene Zschech continued in agreement, “It’s amazing. His presence is great. That’s one of the reasons I love- I’m so committed to announcing His presence and His greatness in our midst. And that’s the beauty of worship. “She then spoke of how worship has the power to move mountains and trials out of your way.
