The winners will be added to the credits of “Dark Souls 2” in addition to receiving a copy of the collector’s edition of the video game. They will also receive a real life shield based on their designs made by Armedia. You can check out some screens of the winning shields, along with other shots from “Dark Souls 2,” in the slideshow located to the left side of this article.

The first “Dark Souls” video game also features a similar contest where fans can design certain shields. Bandai Namco appears to have found some success with the promotion as the company decided to offer a comparable competition for the upcoming title.

The sequel is slated to come out on March 11th for the PS3 and Xbox 360 current-generation gaming systems. The computer version is expected to arrive sometime later. From Software, the studio that developed “Dark Souls 2,” previously revealed that a potential PS4 and Xbox One port for the game has not yet been discussed internally.
