Bandai Namco Games have further responded to several issues in regards to the PC version of "Dark Souls 2." According to a report from Inc Gamers on April 28, the publisher confirmed that a new patch has been released. The title update should automatically be updated and installed through Steam.

The patch fixes the launch errors in the open-world action role-playing game. Players were previously getting white screens when booting the software product. Before the title update, they have to perform several temporary solutions, including pulling and plugging the DVI or HDMI cable at specific times, in order to get the game to work.

Bandai Namco Games also talked a little bit about some of the errors players may be experiencing with using the various control options of "Dark Souls 2" on the PC. The development team is currently investigating the problems associated with using the keyboard and mouse. Furthermore, a solution was also provided for using regular game controllers as users have to disable support for all game pads that are compliant with HID. You can find the full details on the temporary fix for the controllers below (courtesy of Gamepur):

Open up Device Manager and under Human Interface Devices, right click and disable all HID-compliant game controllers, and if you have a G13 disable the Logitch G13 Joystick. Restart the game and it should work. You may also need to disable any virtual HID-compliant game controllers as well.

From Software should be releasing another patch to fix the control problems as well as other issues with the computer version "Dark Souls 2." Furthermore, a warning has apparently been sent out to caution players to not use any modifications at the moment as it can get them banned from playing online. The development team is currently working on a solution with Valve to resolve the banning errors.

The PC iteration of "Dark Souls 2" in the last version to be released as it came out on April 25. The same video game was made available earlier last month for the PS3 and Xbox 360 current-generation platforms. The software product also suffered from some problems on consoles that were eventually resolved through patches. You can find an image showing off the title from the European Bandai Namco Games Facebook page with the screen attached to the top of this article.
