Namco Bandai Games has shown off several more elements from the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game, “Dark Souls 2.” According to a report by PC Gamer on Aug. 21, the publisher provided some new assets for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 action role-playing game at this year’s GamesCom convention.
Several of the enemies were showcased for “Dark Souls 2.” One of which is a heavily-armored individual with a shield on his back. This particular enemy is not only invulnerable to back-stab attacks, but it will also crush players to death if they try to perform the aforementioned maneuver. A rain-soaked boss fight against The Mirror Knight was also featured. The giant has the ability to summon others, including real players, to kill off his opposition.
Moreover, the new assets focused on some of the locations from the action role-playing game as well. The diverse set of environments includes forested areas, indoor ruins and underground passages. Littered throughout the locations are bonfires, which serve as a checkpoint where players can increase their level, replenish their health and warp to other locations.
Namco Bandai Games shown off “Dark Souls 2” in two separate community events at GamesCom. Attendees are required to register before being able to attend the showcase and play the upcoming video game.
