In the previous game in the series “Dark Souls,” players can join different kind of covenants. These groups give you several bonuses, most of which are related to the online element. For example, one covenant focuses on helping other players while another could emphasis invading other people’s games. One of the new screens for “Dark Souls 2” features someone joining the Blue Sentinels.

The rest of the images take a look at the numerous online battles from the upcoming video game. Players can join each other’s game in order to “help, rescue, invade, protect, and take on several positions within the world.” You can check out the new screen, as well as several older shots, in the slideshow to the left of this article.

“Dark Souls 2” is expected to be one of the few remaining current-generation consoles video game to be released only for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The software product is slated to come out on March 11 of 2014 on the two systems as well as the PC platform sometime later in the same month.
